Day 1

So, I've decided to write about what the kids and I are doing while Chad is away so that he can see what goes on while he's away.

6:30 am - I just dropped him off at the airport. He's not even on the plane, but I wanted to write down what I got to see on the way home. I saw an owl flying. I saw the morning fog come all the way up to the road, but not spill over. I love the morning fog. It's so mysterious. It looks like it's going to be a beautiful day. Chad's goal: to not spend hardly any money at all. My goal: to have fun and keep all my hair. :) I've got awesome family that have volunteered to help while Chad's away and we've got some fun events planned already. Today's plan: Miriam to school. Nate plays racquetball with g'pa. Sky Zone this afternoon. Helping in Miriam's class. Movie night (Mega Mind) at Miriam's school tonight. Sounds fun! Let the good times begin!

7:05 am - Just got to IM with Chad through MSN messenger! How cool is that!?! We'll see if it works all the way to Africa and back. That would be cool. It does make the world seem smaller.

4:25 pm - just finished turning over the first side of my garden. I moved a couple of plants over and feel quite accomplished. I did more than I thought I would and should be ready as soon as it's time for planting the garden! The kids are having a snack of granola and raisin bran and I think I'm done working for the day. Time for a shower and a few minutes of a good book before the movie night. By the time we're back from the movie, Chad should be in London!

weather: sunny all day
sprout count: several daisy
