The ongoing story of Mei Shin, from my perspective

Picture it.  Sicily.  1925.  (Famous line from Sophia from Golden Girls)

Well, actually it was Uganda. 2008.  On our family day (our day to celebrate what Chad calls the completion of our family), God tells me the name of a girl to pray for.  Her name, as I spell it, is Mei Shin.  I don't know anything about her.  I don't know where she lives.  I don't know what she does.  I don't know what language she speaks.  Nothing.  But I start praying for her.  This was in September, 2 months after I had started praying about moving to Asia and adopting a girl.  Two months later, in November 2008, I had a dream about Chad going to Sri Lanka.

At the beginning of 2015, we were seriously considering moving to Myanmar.  As I was reading about that country, God reminded me (7 years later) about this girl I'm supposed to be praying for.  As of September 2015, I've started regularly praying for her when I pray for my other 4 kids.

I have no idea if this is the name of a Cambodian professional, or a ministry head that eMi should work with, the wife for one of my boys, or my grandchild's name.  All I know is that I'm supposed to pray for her.  My hunch is that she's a girl who needs someone to intercede for her safety and well being.  I hope I will get to meet her some day.  If I do, you'll read it here, in the ongoing story of Mei Shin, from my perspective.

Maybe one day it will be.  Cambodia. 20??.
