Sokha was really nice, I liked her. I liked how she taught us some Khmer and corrected us when we were wrong (in a friendly way) and also showed us a good Khmer learning app called KM Phrasi. Sokha taught me some of the dance moves that the Cambodians do.
Soka told us about this food that smelled like a bathroom! Imagine that! Ha, anyway she said that it's smell would make most Americans or non native Cambodians nausea, but to her it smelled okay. Then they described this other food that smelled like poop. She talked about the market and how they put the pig's head right in the middle of the market so that they would draw attention to the customers. People at the market apparently who are sellers like to be aggressive with the price and will call you back if you say They kly kla neh this means Expensive in Khmer which I learned is pronounced (CaMy not Come here).
Finally, apparently the people in Cambodia eat dog and Sokha said that it tasted very good. I don't know if I want to eat a dog, sounds kind of weird, but hey if it's an adventure I'll take! Bring it on!
