Celebrations! Cambodia's 5 yr Last month we had the pleasure of going to Cambodia to be a part of their 5 year anniversary celebration. It was very encouraging to see their new office space and hear how everyone is doing so well! Thank you for being a part of making that office a success. Without your faithfulness in prayer and financial support, that office would not be where it is today - THRIVING! Uganda's 20 yr We were recently asked by the current EMI Uganda director to write a story and send in some pictures from the early days of that office. Chad will be leading a devotional time later this month outlining some of the amazing God stories of establishing that office. Many of you who receive this newsletter were a part of that office launch as well! Thank you for your many years of following our journey with God. India's 25 yr This year is such a milestone for the EMI offices around the world! Later this year, EMI India will celebrate 25 years of design projects and lives changed. Shanthi is working with our staff to plan a celebration for later this year. She may or may not be pilfering ideas from Cambodia and Uganda. :) Chad's new job You heard some time back that Shanthi has started working a few hours a week with EMI, well, Chad's role has also had a recent shift. In addition to his current role of Asia/ME regional director, he has been asked to be the interim director for the India office as a new Office Director is found. We are expecting that Chad will be doing both these full time roles for at least the rest of this year. Korea by bike About 5 years ago we heard an amazing story about a bike highway in South Korea that starts at Incheon (the airport) and goes 633 km to Busan. Chad's been pushing to make the dream of biking this route a reality. Last month, we met our bike touring Canadian friends in Incheon and toured the county with them for about 10 days. 10 out of 10, would recommend Korea for cyclists! The bike "highway" was awesome, complete with merge lanes, speeding zones with electronic sensors, carpool diamonds, dedicated bridges and paths. |
