Ready to GO?

Pix

1.  After visiting several colleges, Nathan has narrowed down his choice to Calvin College in MI.
2.  A train in India with no one we know on it. :)
3.  The closer we get to move date, the more we're droolin' for chicken tikka masala.
4.  You may know (if you've ever read my e-mail address) that Shanthi means peace in Hindi. If you didn't know that, you do now and you even know one Hindi word!  You're now "fluent" in Hindi. :)
5. We've just about finished packing and moving stuff to storage.  We'll have our big moving sale THIS weekend.

We're ready to GO!

The House

After a lot of ups and downs during contract, we are now cleared of contingencies and plan to close on Sept. 4th! We will move into Chad's dad's house for the remaining time here in the US.

The Support

We're at 70%!  It's exciting because we're nearly finished!  Now that Chad's told his boss he's leaving, he'll be able to approach professionals in his field.  We're hoping to be fully funded by the end of next month!

If you are one of the 30 people we've asked for support, want to give and haven't responded yet, please click here to get started. Thanks!

The Future

The India EMI office has recently finished staff week.  This is a time when the entire staff spends a few days team building, praying and planning for the future.  Interns will be arriving for the fall term and project trips will occur in September and October.  We so want to be a part of what God is doing in India!
1. We still need a home for Lucy. :(
2. Energy to keep on raising support.  No ask, no gain.
3. We'll be starting homeschooling the week after Labor Day.  I'm old fashioned.  And moving.  So we're starting 3 weeks after the locals. :)

Miriam's Massages (or was that messages?)

You know that kids say the darnedest things.  Here you will get a few funny quotes from our kids.

I have a six pack.  I just like to cover it with a layer of fat so it doesn't get hurt. ~ Miriam

Moses' Corner Kick

The time is almost here to move to India.  I'm looking forward to a lot of stuff like a new environment to live in. How cool is that? There will also be new and exotic foods that I haven't tasted.  Do you know that I could play a new type of baseball which is called cricket?  And I can still play soccer there.  There are cool structures that I can't wait to see and it will all be in India.
