Gamble's Newsletter Adoption Update

We just got a call from our attorney tonight. He went to court today and they rejected the application to have our case reallocated to a different judge. The reasoning was that we did not have a critical need and the judge that we are currently assigned to can see our case in about a month. Our attorney explained the situation to them about us leaving the country and having to go to the US Embassy to process visas once we finalize the adoption here. The court requested a written brief with supporting documents, so we quickly e-mailed to our attorney our airline ticket receipts and letter from EMI stating our last day in the office. He will then put this in a letter to the court and request either a sooner date from our current judge or to have our case reallocated to a judge who can see us sooner. We know another couple who did something similar and they were seen within the week! So, there is hope, but there is also the possibility of a delay to our departure from Uganda. The latter would certainly not be the end of the world, but when all our efforts have gone into planning and preparing for a specific departure date it can be pretty difficult to change our mindset and our plans. Please continue to pray that all would go according to God's perfect plan!
On a separate note, Chad and his team have just started to print the final project report for his last trip! The printing is expected to be complete by the end of Tuesday, which will leave Wednesday and Thursday to bind the reports and wrap up all the administrative tasks of completing the project. Thursday afternoon the team is planning a trip to the local ice cream parlor to celebrate! I hope to take pictures of the process and post them on our blog or Facebook for all to see. I will send a link when it is up!
Thanks again for all your prayers and support!
