serving the Middle East and Asia through engineering design and discipleship
I thought he was going to kiss me. Instead he took a selfie. 🤣
We leave Sunday morning at 10:30 am PDT
Thank you to everyone who attended either the in person or zoom call. It was a lot of fun and a little bit of a geography lesson for most of us, including myself.
And just like that, the year of home assignment is over. We have purged a lot of stuff. We have eaten well and in this past week have consumed all the beef we possibly could. We have kicked things that didn't fit into their box. Actually, only Shanthi kicked the box. Chad came to rescue her. We have changed our mailing address - again. We have rented a 5' x 5' storage unit to cram as much as we could into it. Our bags have been packed and repacked to achieve the fullest weight they can be in only 4 checked bags, 2 of which are our tandem bicycle. We have said goodbye to our children, our family, and our friends. We have cried. And cried some more as we said goodbye. We have our visas. We have temporary housing arranged in New Delhi with an airport pickup. This last week before the move is the hardest for us. It's draining physically, emotionally, mentally, and sometimes spiritually.
There is usually a wave of relief once we get to the airport and some rest before we land and everything is new. A new home, a new church, new friends, new work environment, new smells, new foods, new sounds, new language, new time zone.
We plan on returning for Christmas
Please pray for us to quickly find a new church home. We have some leads, but the house church we were apart of last time is gone.
Pray for our kids as they enter a new season here in the US. Nathan's moving to CO. Chesna's moving to WA. Miriam's back at university in So. Cal. And Moses has decided to join the Army Reserves.
