Major Life Changes

Graduations

In the past 2 months, Chesna has graduated from Trinity Western University in Langley Canada with a degree in Kinesiology.  She graduated in the top 6 of her school and was awarded a blue cord for this amazing achievement!  Moses graduated from Rocklin High School and has decided to attend Grand Canyon University in Phoenix Arizona and study psychology or business.

New destination!

After a lot of prayer and guidance, we have decided to return, not to Cambodia, but to India in early September.  This is predominately due to the amazing success of the Cambodia office!  They no longer need us. And while the Cambodia office no longer needs us, we are now needed in the India office.

Chad is home!

For a couple of months anyway.  It's been really crazy with him travelling to Cambodia for a week, home for a week, India for a week, Canada for a week, home for a day, Egypt for a week.  But we are finally through that roller coaster and are settling into a new rhythm, especially with three adult children living with us this summer.

Shanthi's new job

With the move to India, Shanthi will not be returning to Logos to teach math.  Instead, she has taken on 2 smaller projects within EMI.  The first is to help get one of their programs to be multicultural in its presentation so that our EMI staff from around the world will find it easier to participate in.  The second is to help new EMI staff with their support raising website and pamphlet.  Both of these will start this month.
  1. We are beginning to wrap up our regular commitments here in the US.  Please pray as we start that process.  We want to say goodbye well.
  2. The kids all have jobs currently, please pray for favor for them and that they would be able to save enough over the summer to help them in their next season.

Shanthi's Language Lesson

One of the Hindi words for uncle is काका (caw-caw),
similar to the Khmer word for uncle, áž–ូ (poo). :)

From Chad's Bookshelf

Chad loves reading and always has a few books in progress.  Here is a quote from his recent reading

  • Ted Simon in Jupiter's Travels, "It is remarkably easy to do things and much more frightening to contemplate them."
