To Shanthi's Mom

Shanthi's Mom came for a 3-week visit and is now headed back to Uganda.  She got to visit the amazing beach, see Apsara dancing, eat Khmer food, and ....

Chesna graduated from high school this month.  She told us last month that her theme song is "Too Good at Goodbyes" by Sam Smith.  Although the song is more about dating relationship, there is a similar temptation to harden your heart when you have to say goodbye so much.  We've been so proud of Chesna for NOT hardening her heart toward her classmates and ended up with some really good friends.

Married Couple's Bible Study

At the beginning of the year, we started leading a married couple's Bible study for newly married couples.  We met twice a month for 5 months and at our final meeting, the participants all shared how the study was really encouraging to them.  They are a unique people group: newly married expats living quite far from their families.
Same as last month
  1. Please continue to join Shanthi in praying for discerning what God wants her to do in Cambodia. She's currently investigating teaching English as a ministry opportunity.
  2. Please pray for people to sublet our house for June and July.
  3. Please pray for projects to come into the office.  Without these, there's no work to do and the staff gets pretty bored. 😉
Speaking of boredom, please pray for the kids over the summer - that they don't get too bored visiting their friends in the US.

Miriam's Massages (or was that messages?)

You know that kids say the darnedest things.  Here you will get a few funny quotes from our kids.

Moses' Corner Kick

Saying Goodbyes is one of the hardest things to do but there is a good feeling when you say goodbye to someone. When you say goodbye to someone you're sad to leave them but then all your good memories come back. Leaving my friends for the summer will be sad but I will see most of them after the break. The hardest part for me will be when I go to America and will have to leave all my friends and family there. On the bright side because the school year is ending I can say goodbye to homework, and test and other boring things.
