It is August so it must be time for the EMI Golf Marathon! I was looking back and realized that the last time we did an e-mail newsletter was for the 2011 Golf Marathon. Much has changed since then, but our heart for missions has stayed strong. In September we were asked by our church to head up the missions committee which has been a great honor. In January Shanthi led a missions trip from our church to Uganda to drill wells in the northern part of the country. She was able to take Moses and spend some extra time with her mom before the trip. It was a great blessing! I am still pursuing international opportunities at my job and may head back to Uganda this fall for a short term trip to help design a university! God continues to do great things in and through us for which we are tremendously grateful.
We have a great desire to support the ministry of EMI, so Shanthi and I will be participating in this year's Golf Marathon. They are having a special emphasis on golfing with a family member to help raise additional funds. This year we are hoping to be able to raise at least $3,000 which will be used towards a new EMI East Africa office building. The growth in the office has been incredible and they will be constructing a new facility on the outskirts of Kampala. Will you help us by pledging either a flat donation or a per hole donation?
