Happy New Year! We hope that you have had a wonderful holiday season! We certainly did, it was great to be with family again and to celebrate Christmas here in the USA. You can see and read about how we went sledding, decorated our tree, saw Santa, opened presents, and spent time with family on our blog.
While Chad got an amazing present from Shanthi - tickets to a 49ers game, the long awaited gift of an engineering job has still not arrived. During the week just before Christmas Chad had two interviews that went really well. However, he was not selected for one of them and has yet to hear back from the other. Shanthi has now started looking for a part time tutoring position and has already had two interviews! It has been discouraging at times, but God has been incredibly faithful and has provided for us in so many ways! It is wonderful to be following Him and to see His hand of provision in our lives!
On another note, EMI has asked Chad to lead a project trip to India! Due to new visa restrictions in India a current India staff member, who was supposed to lead the trip, had to bow out at the last minute. This left a fully committed team, an expectant ministry and no project leader! He was asked by EMI to step in and lead the trip to develop a master plan for House of Praise Girls Home in Bangalore, India. After much prayer and discussion, it was decided that Chad should not pass up this opportunity. So, he leaves on January 31st and will return on February 13th.
Please pray for the following:
* The work load to increase at one of the engineering firms that Chad has interviewed with so that they would have the work and desire and bring him on board.
* Continued provision during this time of transition
* Wisdom as Chad leads this trip to India
* Protection of Shanthi and the kids while Chad is away
