Picture of the WeekAs I write this, we are gearing up for a week without Chad. But what a week this will be. It’s Spirit Week at school. Which means that on Monday we all wear the school colors (blue and yellow), Tuesday we dress like farmers (I think traditional farmer dress is different in Uganda and I wonder what type of farmers children will dress like), Wednesday is PJ day (that’ll be easy to get the kids ready for, even I am going to wear my rubber duckie pjs), Thursday is valentine’s day (not the real day, just dressing in pink and red) and Friday is Sports Fan day (dress up like your favorite player or in your favorite team’s colors – mine? Go Bears!) Or should I wear the Wings jersey for Chad? Or half the day in the Bears shirt and half in the Wings? What a dilemma!
Family Update
- We have almost all of the documents we need to finalize the adoption!
EMI & Heritage School Update
- Chad is possibly on his last project trip for a while. When he returns from Rwanda next week, he’ll work quickly and methodically to get the project published by April. Then he’ll devote a couple months to all the preparations for our move back to the U.S.A.
- Heritage is looking for teachers for next year. If you know anyone with a valid teaching credential and willing to make a 2 year commitment please let us know or have them check out www.missionteach.org!
Praise Reports
- Only 13 more working weeks left of school! Not that I’m counting or anything.
Prayer Requests
- A job for Chad, preferably at an international civil engineering firm.
- Teachers for next year at HIS.
- Chad’s trip to be GREAT!! That the team would be unified in their design, that the foreigners would remain healthy, and that the ministry would be encouraged by the work they are doing.
- For our office: All foreign staff are gone, except me and I don’t really count; besides I’m at school all day. Also, pray for a director to step into Chad’s position.
Attached Picture
- The kids with Miram and Moses’ grandfather in December. I know it’s old. Our camera was stolen in December, but we’re getting another one next Sunday, so you should end up with a more current picture next newsletter. :)
