Gamble's Newsletter EMI Golf Marathon

Just last week marked the two year point from when we moved from Uganda to the US.  Wow, has time flown by!  We so enjoy living close to family and still feel that we made the right decision to return to the US when we did.  When we returned to the US we didn't want to loose our connection to international work either.  It has been amazing to see how God has kept that desire alive in our hearts in so many different ways.  Just last weekend we were able to have lunch with a missionary from Tanzania, a few weeks ago we had dinner with someone from Malawi, Chad had lunch with an engineering student from Burkina Faso and in March Chad returned to Uganda for a short term trip.

We also still have a desire to support the ministry of EMI, so Chad will once again be participating in this year's Golf Marathon which will be held on August 16th in Colorado Springs. This is EMI's one fundraising event of the year and I will be golfing on behalf of the East Africa office.  My goal is to be able to raise $5,000 for the office by golfing 100 holes in one day, so I am looking for 50 people who will pledge $1 per hole.  Will you help me?

If you are interested just respond to this e-mail letting me know that you are in for $1 per hole and after the golf marathon you will be contacted by EMI with instructions on how to give.  If you want to give a flat donation you can do that now by going to the EMI website (https://emisecure.org/donate.html) and put "Golf Marathon-Chad" as the designation.  If you can also send me an e-mail letting me know that you have donated online I will be able to see how close I am to my goal.

Thanks for continuing to support the work of God in East Africa
