The night before Chesna's birthday, she had a long distance tea (actually hot chocolate) party with her Granny who lives in Uganda. She got a scoop of ice cream from Cold Stone and talked about 40 minutes. Granny had sent her the beautiful quilt pictured which Chesna opened during the phone call. It was a very special time for one last tea party with Granny before turning the big 1-0!

The morning of her birthday, Chesna got breakfast in bed! Such a treat! Her Nana and her Auntie came for breakfast too. After breakfast she got to spend a few days with her Nana!
On Friday of the same week, Chesna had her sleep over birthday party. She invited 4 girls and only 3 could come. Pictured below are Chesna, Mila (who has the same birthday as Chesna and celebrated her birthday the following Friday), Chloe, and Hannah (Chesna's new best friend). During the party, the girls played "truth, dare, or electric chair." The "electric chair" is a severe dare. At one point, the girls dared Chad to stick his head in cold water, which he did (pictured above). What a great dad! The girls were THRILLED!! Afterwards, Chad got the girls to pick electric chair and dared them to go to bed! Auntie Nana came and helped out too and she took the girls for donuts at midnight. I think they went to sleep about 1 am!
